iSOSalert is a unique rescue device for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors, wherever you are in the world.
The concept is simple. Before you head off to go cycling, walking, running or skiing, just open the app, choose a ‘Buddy’ and press the ‘Start' button so iSOSalert can track you as you move around. As long as iSOSalert continues to feel your movement, it will be ‘content’ to watch over you and will remain in ‘tracking mode’. You can also use the Facebook link, allowing you to notify all your friends when you’re out in the countryside.
In the event of you becoming injured or unconscious, the app recognises when no movement is felt for a set time and will enter ‘Alert mode’. First, the user is notified and is then able to over-ride the system with a small movement, if it is not a genuine emergency. If the user fails to over-ride the alert mode, then an alert will be sent to your chosen ‘Buddy’ with your GPS location, by text, email and on Facebook. Thanks to the GPS capability of your smart-phone, once an alert has been triggered, your position can be detected so that you can be found without delay.
